Since it's just before Christmas, we will be making original mobiles, "moving sculptures," by tying branches and twine together, tracing Christmas patterns, drawing pictures of your choice, and baking plastic sheets. This is in response to the requests of workshop participants who have long wanted to make things using plastic sheets!

*We will be using a toaster to combine the three branches and make the plastic boards, so we would appreciate it if parents could help out with the project for children in the lower grades of elementary school. Here is the flyer! ↓↓↓
December Mobile Making Workshop

REPORT

The excitement and concentration of the children participating in the workshop just before Christmas was at its peak.
On Saturday, December 12rd, the last museum workshop of the year, "Making a Christmas Mobile from Plastic Sheets," ended without a hitch. We were blessed with many participants in both the morning and afternoon sessions, and we are very grateful to everyone who participated! It took two hours from drawing many Christmas designs, such as Santa Claus, fir trees, presents, and reindeer, to making the mobile out of the branches. It took longer than expected, but in the end, everyone was able to complete their own original Christmas mobile.
From children to adults, everyone who participated was full of happiness just before Christmas! You could tell they were having fun and joy as they curled up in the toaster oven, glued to the shrinking plastic sheet.
The curator in charge also reminisced about the excitement he felt before Christmas as a child and the nostalgic days of playing with plastic boards.
Well, next year's workshop will start on Tuesday, January 1nd. Participation is voluntary, so please feel free to drop by the museum.
First, place a sheet of plastic underneath the Christmas design and trace the outline.
Once you've colored it, it's time to cut it out!
