My paintings combine the spirit of Eastern landscape painting with the concepts of modern philosophy (such as that of Gilles Deleuze of France) through my own unique sensibility.
Instead of simply depicting the scenery before me, I express my own sensations by transforming them into abstract shapes and colors.
The striking clash of vibrant red and green in the artwork is not merely an explosion of emotion.
It symbolizes the dynamism of life, and the powerful brushstrokes and overlapping shapes create a pleasing rhythm (little nell) within the image.
For me, "mountains" are not merely a landscape. By deconstructing the form of a mountain and replacing it with units of color and line, I am trying to depict a "spiritual landscape" that transcends the visible scenery. Every single color and line is a fragment of the meaning I have imbued into it.
At first glance, the abstract patterns may seem incomprehensible, but in reality, they condense the essence of life itself—the light of dawn and dusk, the sounds of mountains and the sea.
